On the other hand, the length of the sets played over 6 games will also be reduced to 4 games and in case of equality of 4-4, a 5-point tie-break set will be switched. In tennis matches lasting 3 or 5 sets, the match will now be played in a tie-break instead of the final set. The length of the match tie-break will also be 7 or 10 points. Finally, if the service that hits the net falls into the correct service box, the “let” decision will also be removed and the score will continue. A significant part of these new rules, which the ITF will implement starting from next season, were also tested at the ATP Next Generation Finals, which were played at the end of the season.
