What is Fair Play in Tennis?
Fair competition, respect, friendship, team spirit, equality, doping-free sport, honesty, solidarity, tolerance, care, excellence and enjoyment constitute Fair Play. The core values of fair play contribute to making the world a better place. Because fair play is not just a theory, it is an attitude that should manifest itself in all our behavior.
Fair Play is an Anglo-Saxon term. Honest play means honest behavior. The exact meaning of Fair Plan is: It is ethical behavior. Fair Play, on the other hand, is to reveal the superior human spirit in life by suppressing personal interests and ambitions above all these. There is no limit to the Fair Plan, which has an understanding of love, friendship, brotherhood. All borders in the world are artificial.
The word was first used in English Colleges. And it usually has three meanings, very close to each other. First of all, it was used to mean “good game”. Then “it was evaluated as “the mood that will show a good game and the way of behavior befitting an athlete”. As a commission, we have managed to reach a wider audience with the studies and programs carried out. In this way, we have provided a better understanding of Fair Play awareness, especially in schools. I also observe that examples of Fair Play are increasing, especially in infrastructures, in young teams.
Fair Play is a broad concept that sometimes involves full compliance with written rules, and sometimes unwritten behavior involving respect, tolerance, love, justice and friendship. It is a way of life and behavior, Fair Play. Fair Play “To hear the voice of God.” means. Fair Play is a person’s selfless behavior away from a sense of self without thinking about his opponents, those around him, his own life, future, family and interests in an event.
Respect and love are important for the spread of sports
A human being is a creature that is prone to violent behavior by nature. It is tried to prevent a person from committing these violent behaviors through trainings, laws and rules. The Fair Play approach tries to emphasize the formation of an environment of tolerance in sports with various studies conducted and that sports are a game. We can list many main sources of violence. Incomplete and non-full implementation of the rules, inadequate managers, lack of authority in the field, some programs and articles in the press, etc.
